Applications

This kind of PDC is sintered at high pressure and temperature, which is composed of diamond and kentanium. It can be embedded into mine drill that used in medium-high hardness stratum drilling.

And widely used for oil/gas drill bit, rock drill and coal mining drill bit, also can be used for diamond tools for cutting, grinding, polishing.

 

With high speed, durability, and toughness, when drilling the homogeneous formation, the lip of GK can scrape the stratum, and the spherical prominence can control the footage. When meeting with the ravelly ground, the spherical prominence can break the rock into gravels and then squeeze the gravels into the gaps, thereby reducing the vibration of drill and speeding up the drilling.In conclusion, GK can not only apply to the homogeneous formation, but also the ravelly ground, that’s why we call it “The opponent to the pebble”.

 

 

Introduction of PDC

PDC is made of diamond micro-powder and hard tungsten carbide under high temperature and high pressure. It possesses of high wear resistance like diamond, at the same time the impact resistance like tungsten carbide and that’s made it the best character as a drill bit cutter. Reinforced PDC has higher dense diamond powder, claw tungsten carbide substrate made the two layers solid as a whole one. 

 

Characteristics

1) impact resistance

It can stand the impact more than 200 times, but the common PDC can only have 50 times of impact.

 

 

2)wear ressistance

The abrasion ressistance of GK is highly improved by using the superfined diamond powder and adding some special activated elements and adopting special technology of synthesis. Its wear ratio is up to 500,000 which is twice as the common PDC.

 

3)thermal stability

GK is made by using the special helmet design, so that the stress on the surface of GK will be eliminated and dispersed. There is a special layer called “transition layer” which help to improve the thermal stability and bond strength of this product.
